Michael Diamond, president of Diamond Custom Homes, today announced the promotion of Deborah Maxner to bid coordinator.
In this enhanced role, Maxner assists the purchasing division in the collection, management and distribution of bid information, and collaborates with the purchasing agent to buy out and award purchase orders. She works with project managers to determine bid and selection needs, tracks the information, and oversees plan management and document control. In addition to meeting with homeowners and designers to discuss selections and products, she also manages the permitting process for Diamond Custom Homes’ projects, including gathering and submission of required documentation, distribution to the field once issued, and assisting project managers and job superintendents when necessary.
“I’m very pleased to promote Deborah to this expanded role,” said Diamond. “Her extensive construction, interior design and real estate experience makes her an incredible asset to our teams and clients.”
Maxner joined Diamond Custom Homes in July 2014 as a selections coordinator, responsible for assisting clients and interior designers with the selections process during the construction of their new home or remodel of their existing home. In addition, she worked closely with the purchasing manager to gather pricing and information for clients.
Originally from New Hampshire, Maxner earned an interior design certification from the University of New Hampshire, and a real estate sales associate license from the State of Florida. Involved in the construction and interior design industries for 30 years, she was the owner of Interior Reflections, a business that sold custom window treatments, upholstered furniture and interior accessories for residential clients.
